Where You Actually Are

There is a reason the confusion has felt so personal. You think the stopping and restarting, the not having it figured out yet, means something is specifically wrong with you.
It doesn’t. You are on a path that has stages. And almost nobody ever gets shown the path.
This is the Journey of a Soul-Led Entrepreneur. Six stages. Read through slowly and notice where you feel yourself standing.
Stage One. The Calling.
It arrives like a knowing you didn’t choose. A purpose, an offering, placed in you by God/Spirit/Source, that simply will not leave you alone. This is where you finally say yes to it. For many of us, it is the first time we have ever really chosen ourselves.
For me, that yes came in 2020 — quiet at first, then impossible to ignore. I ignored it anyway and went back to a 9-5. The calling waited but got louder and louder.
Stage Two. The Clarity. (you might be here)
This stage humbles you. Clarity doesn’t arrive while you’re sitting still thinking about it. It arrives through action — through the audacity to try, one session and one post at a time. You gather breadcrumbs that slowly begin to reveal who you are here for, what you are really here to do, and what lights you up about this work.
I finally surrendered to the calling and launched my business, Essence of Freedom, in 2024 and spent this stage testing, launching, trying things that weren’t quite right — including work that paid well but felt like a betrayal of my body every single time. Clarity only came from moving, not from thinking.
Stage Three. The Foundation. (or you might be here)
You’ve found the thread. Now you build. The brand, the voice, the offer — the real bones of the thing — all while your visibility anxiety is screaming in the background. This is exactly where the nervous system work stops being optional. Because the block was never in the strategy. It lives in the body.
The moment I found my language — helping women of color move from fear into confident action — people responded immediately. The foundation came together fast once the clarity arrived.
Stage Four. The Authority.
You show up so consistently that something shifts in you that no strategy could have manufactured. Your gifts stop feeling like questions and start feeling like certainties. The money hasn’t caught up to the energy yet, and this is the messy middle — but people begin to see you as the expert you have always been.
I posted on social media every single day. I watched my offerings expand into something sacred and unrecognizable from where it started and people were responding. Something in me rewrote itself. The devotion does that.
Stage Five. The Flow.
The compound interest of every stage before this one finally pays out. People seek you out. They arrive already ready — because you built something real and kept showing up long enough to be found.
This is where I am now. Women who have never met me in person know my name and seek me out specifically. The foundation is holding weight the way it was always meant to.
Stage Six. The Expansion.
Everything you survived and everything you became turns into something bigger than you. The business becomes a vehicle for more than income. It becomes legacy. One woman rising and reaching back for the next.
Sit with where you landed.
If you recognized yourself in Stage Two or Stage Three, you are exactly who this guide was written for. The Clarity and the Foundation are the two stages where almost everyone gets stuck. And they are the two stages where the body work becomes everything — because this is where you are being asked to show up before your nervous system believes it is safe to do so.
Here is what I need you to hold onto.
Nearly half of new businesses don’t make it. Not because those women weren’t built for it. Because nobody gave them the map. Nobody told them the confusion was a stage and not a verdict. Nobody told them the inconsistency was never proof they should quit.
You are standing in the exact place the journey gets hard for everyone. Holding your breath. Wondering if the fact that it’s hard means it isn’t really yours.
It’s yours.
Now let me show you the way through.
